Welcome to our blog!
We are a Christian couple living in Iowa journeying through the process of creating our family. For us, this will mean adoption.
We are walking the painful road of infertility and have been trying to conceive since November 2008. Little did we know that our plan to have a child was not the plan God had in mind! It has been a hard road of pain, suffering, learning lean on God (and each other!), and spending many days and nights wondering when our time will come to be parents. However, we have met great friends through this road and wouldn’t change the way God’s plan is working out!
We now know that God has called us to adopt. We have a heart for caring for orphans and look forward to sharing our journey with you. Yes, this is a hard road. And in the end, our family may not look traditional, but it will be the way God intended.
About Amanda: I am a middle school vocal music teacher. I love my job and love working with this age group. I enjoy biking, spending time outdoors, food (I am a health foodie!), reading, connection group at church, and spending time with Micah!
About Micah: I am a student at Iowa State University. I am studying software engineering and entrepreneurship. I love ISU, Cornerstone Church, and my wife!
